YEAR 3

As the final days for this term conclude, I would like to acknowledge the efforts made by our students and parents during the course of this challenging year.

Students enjoyed their last term of the year at school and worked hard to achieve great results.

In Literacy, we learnt how to write Poetry. Students learnt to write a variety of poems like Limericks, Haiku, Cinquains and Diamantes. In Grammar, we worked on Adjectives, Verbs, Pronouns, and basic punctuation.

In Numeracy, we focused on money, measuring mass, volume, and grids & maps.

In Science, Year 3 students covered States of Matter and Heating Up. They learnt about the arrangement of molecules in liquids, solids, and gases. They also learnt about ‘What is heat and how is it produced?’, insulators and conductors, ‘How do thermometers work?’ and ‘How does heat travel?’

Students also enjoyed their Art, ICT and P.E. lessons.

I am happy with the achievements of my students and I hope they continue to progress in the same way in the new year as well. With the term approaching the summer holidays, everyone is wished a relaxing and safe experience. Now to recharge and spend time with family, friends and acquire new memories!
